I've been hearing about Pilates for years. Haven't been doing anything with it, though....but it is time for a new start. I've started with a few exercises and found it amazing. The 100s is so much more efficient way of working the abs than sit-ups. Roll-ups are also a great way.
The hardest part, I've found at least, is learning how to get into the proper position for each exercise. There is a lot of things to think about. It definitely isn't the kind of thing that you can do when listening to loud rock music like lifting weights.
I think it is also critical to find a good instructor, at least until you get the exercises down to be able to do them at home without having to think about getting into the right position.
Lots to learn and ready to go!
